Zero Data Collection · Updated May 2026

Privacy
Policy.

The short version: we collect zero personal data. No names, no email addresses, no tracking pixels, no cookies we set. You read our reviews and leave. That’s the entire relationship.

// 01 — What We Collect

The complete list of data we collect from you.

Complete List
Nothing! Zero! We collect no personal data from visitors.
There are no forms to fill out, no accounts to create, no email list to join, no newsletter signup, no comment sections, no login walls, and no tracking of your behavior on this site. You are anonymous to us.

This is not a legal hedge. This is a deliberate architectural choice. isitfor.me is a read-only publication. You come to read research. You leave. Nothing about your visit is recorded by us.

Most privacy policies are written to justify data collection. This one is written to confirm its absence. The sections below cover the narrow technical exceptions that exist outside our control — and what actually happens when you click an affiliate link.

// 02 — Full Data Inventory

Every data point. Every source. Every use.

Data Type Collected by Us? Where It Comes From
Name Never No forms, no accounts, no sign-ups exist on this site
Email address Never No newsletter, no contact form, no email capture of any kind
Cookies (our own) None set by us We set zero first-party cookies. WordPress may set one session cookie if you visit the admin area — this never applies to regular readers
Analytics (Page views) Anonymous Aggregated We use a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. It counts overall page views to tell us which reviews are read, but it cannot identify you, does not store your IP address, and sets zero cookies in your browser.
IP address (our logs) Server logs only Our hosting provider’s servers automatically record IP addresses in standard access logs. We do not read, process, or store these. They are purged by the hosting provider on their own schedule
Device / browser info Never No fingerprinting, no user-agent logging, no device detection beyond what the server standard logs contain (see above)
Location data Never No geolocation, no IP-to-location lookup, no country-level targeting
Purchase data Never When you click an affiliate link and buy something, the retailer processes the transaction. We receive a commission notification with no personal purchase details
// 03 — Third-Party Sites

What happens when you click our links.

When you click an affiliate link on isitfor.me, you leave this site and go to a third-party retailer. Those sites are independent companies with their own privacy policies. Once you’re on their site, their privacy practices apply — not ours.

We have no access to, and no control over, what those sites collect. We list the main destinations below so you can review their policies before clicking.

Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, and other brand stores
Each brand operates its own e-commerce store with its own data collection practices. Check the privacy policy of the store you’re purchasing from.
These sites are independent of isitfor.me. We do not receive any personal information from purchases made on these sites.
MatterHackers and other specialist retailers
Specialist 3D printing retailers we link to have their own privacy policies and cookie practices. Review them at the point of purchase.
WordPress (hosting platform)
This site runs on WordPress, hosted on a third-party server. The hosting provider processes server access logs as a standard operational practice. We do not use WordPress.com — this is a self-hosted installation. The server logs are governed by our hosting provider’s data retention policies.
Browser-level protection: If you want additional privacy when clicking affiliate links, browser extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger can limit third-party tracking on retailer sites. We have no financial interest in whether you use them — this is simply useful information.
// 04 — Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Rights that apply to you — and why most don’t need exercising here.

Privacy regulations like GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California) grant visitors rights over their personal data. Because we collect no personal data, most of these rights have no data to exercise against. But they exist, and we acknowledge them.

Right to Access
You have the right to request what data we hold about you. Our answer: none. We hold no personal data about any visitor.
Right to Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your data. Since we hold none, there is nothing to delete.
Right to Portability
You have the right to receive your data in a portable format. We have no data to provide.
Right to Opt Out of Sale
CCPA grants California residents the right to opt out of data sale. We do not sell data because we do not collect data.
If you have a privacy question or concern that isn’t answered here, reach us directly at contact@isitfor.me. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
// 05 — Practices We Don’t Use

A complete list of what you won’t encounter here.

For absolute clarity, the following practices are not used on isitfor.me — now or in the future without a policy update with prominent notice:

No tracking pixels — no invisible 1×1 images that report your visit to third parties.
No retargeting — we do not feed your browser data to ad networks so you see our content on other sites.
No behavioral advertising — we don’t run ads of any kind. There is no ad network code on this site.
No pop-ups or interstitials — no overlays asking you to subscribe, sign up, or accept cookies.
No push notifications — we don’t request browser notification permission.
No comment sections — no Disqus, no Facebook Comments, no native WordPress comments. These would require third-party scripts and data collection.
No social media embeds — no Twitter/X widgets, no Facebook Like buttons, no embedded Instagram or YouTube that would load third-party tracking code.
No heatmaps or session recording — no Hotjar, no FullStory, no screen-recording tools.
No A/B testing platforms — no Optimizely or similar tools that track user behavior across variants.
No data brokers — we do not purchase, sell, or share visitor data with any data broker or data marketplace.
